Michelle Duggar gave birth through c-section to her 19th child on December 10. Little Josie Duggar came into the world weighing 1 lb. 6 oz., apparently three months premature. Hopefully, everything will turn out alright for both mother and child.

I also want Michele and Josie to do well and I like the name Josie.
While I wish the very best for Josie, the babies that are 1.6 lbs and under have a much greater chance of ongoing problems. Josie will need a lot of care from her mother in the next few months. I wonder how the Duggers will manage with the needs of a micro-premie. How are they going to cope with the needs of the other 17 (Josh excluded) when they are giving the care needed to this very fragile child?

Hey, Nell! Thanks for stopping in. You weren't the first to sign up, but you are the first to post. I hope they hire a mother's helper from outside the immediate family to provide respite, since it's likely Josie will suffer from some disabilities. Hopefully, the problems won't be severe. Vyckie at No Longer Quivering has an interesting take on this.
